THE QUESTION

What if timing isn't the whole story?

Circadian biology tells us that when biological rhythms occur matters.

But I'm increasingly interested in another characteristic of those rhythms: amplitude -  how distinctly biological peaks and valleys are expressed across the day and night.

And that leads me to a question:

What happens when the environmental signals reaching us

become clearer rather than noisier?

BRIGHT DAY - GENUINE DARKNESS - CLEAR TRANSITIONS

I don't know.

That's why I'm chasing the question.

TRANSITIONS

The solar day is always changing.

Dawn, daylight, solar noon, sunset, twilight - each brings a changing environmental signal.

AMPLITUDE

How strong is the rhythm?

I'm exploring what the strength and clarity of our biological rhythms may mean for health and aging.

N-of-1

Living the question.

What happens when I bring my own biology into closer conversation with the changing solar day?

THE EXPERIMENT IS STILL UNFOLDING

~ LIVING THE QUESTION IN REAL TIME ~

I'm living this question in real time - observing what happens as I bring more of my days into relationship with dawn, daylight, solar noon, sunset, twilight, and genuine darkness.

I'll be sharing what I'm observing, what the data shows, what surprises me, and where the questions lead next.

COMING SOON

FIELD NOTES

The observations behind Chasing Transitions.

I'm documenting the experiment as it evolves - environmental variables, selected metrics, patterns, surprises, and the questions that emerge along the way.

Field Notes will become the evolving record of what I'm learning in real time.

Until then, stay in the conversation for new research, emerging questions, and occasional updates from Chasing Transitions, including tips on how to make my observations a part of your own lifestyle!
